New concerts.

The upcoming 12th of november, Almadrava will perform in the “Teatro del mercado” in Zaragoza. Some weeks later, the 5th of december, you will be able to see them in concert in the newly opened “Dreams” in Tenerife, Canary Islands. (http://www.dreamstenerife.com)

We got lots of emails concerning the outcome of our new album “Positivity” and lots of you were asking for the lyrics of our song “Land of eternal sunset”, being part of “Positivity”and as well included in the compilation “Cafe del Mar Vol.14” that is already out on the market.
After the first conversations with the record label, we can advance you that it is planned to be released in february 2008. Almadrava now is preparing the new songs for their concerts. Some new presentation you will be able to see and hear already in their acts in Zaragoza and Tenerife.

Almadrava “live”.

The upcoming 23rd of June, on the beach of l’Estartit in Girona at  21:30 o’clock,
to heat up motors, while we are waiting for the outcome of “Positivity”, we will be able to see Almadrava in concert. The performance will be done within the scope of their “Sunset concerts”, a new format of concerts the group initiated with lots of succes last year.

This new format for concerts is thought for beautiful scenery and landscapes, specially beaches of the mediterranean, in which the public can enjoy the surrounding, the ambience and the music. This summer, the sunset concerts will start with a chillout session, accompanying the spectator until the sun touches the ground (or sea), that is when  Almadrava start their concert, which includes projections and dance-performances for to create a magic and exclusive ambience.

For the tour of 2008 they are working on a really special Event, of which we hope really soon to be able to inform you.

Inspiration.

We always asked ourselves which feelings and sensations does the music of Almadrava transmit you. The fotographer Javier Pardina helped us to discover it. In the section of images of this webpage,  under the name Artmadrava, we  included a series of fotos of Javier Pardina, lots of them being inspired by the music and the sounds of the group.

Last details.

“Positivity” is almost finished. We’re working on the last datails and changes and to be sincere, we  are really happy with  the results. We still have  no dates of the release, waiting for the recordlabel  to  decide  about  that. But we hope it will be really soon!

For the ones who are really curious, they will have the opportunity to listen to a track in advance: The song “Land of eternal sunset” will be part of the new compilation Café del Mar Vol. 14, that will come out end of May.

3rd.
During the last couple of years since "All you left us" came out, the promotion and the concerts were in one side, but the door of the studio was never closed. That means that now we have a nice collections of new songs and ideas, ready to become part of what it should be our third album. We are excited, since creation is possibly our favourite part, and now it's the time to finalize arrangements, lyrics and start recordings.
We just wanted to share this important moment for us with you all!

Yesterday we were recording in the metro in Barcelona. We did record the arrival of a train for a song. And we did step into this train. Maybe this is symptomatic: We did start a new trip, and there's no way back.

Chillout Sessions Vol. 4
Let's welcome the fourth volume of this compilation of Blanco y Negro, and this time with a nice surprise: The "chillout-session" is compiled and mixed by almadrava.

The group has chosen 30 tracks that they mixed in 2 Cds (15 per CD), which show us a little bit their musical preferences. Afterlife, Mandalay, Kate Havenik, Flunk... are just a small example of a CD that won’t let anybody untouched.

The compilation includes two of the songs of their last album “Distancia del mar” and “Your number one”, and as well the recovery of the remix they did for Tukan of the song “Light a rainbow”. At the end of the session, Blanco y Negro added two bonus tracks of their catalogue, filling up two Cds, already fully charged.

Upcoming concerts:
We’re really pleased to announce two really special events.
The 14th of august at the city of Roses (Spain) will be held "The Sunset Concert” at “The New Beach”. A chillout session will start the show and will lead to the beginning of the concert at the moment the sun touches the ground at the Roses Bay.
Hopefully the wheather will be kind.

Almadrava’s first concerts in Germany:
One month after, at the Strandbar443 in the city of Worms (Germany) almadrava will offer a double concert, the 15th and the 16th of September.

This recently opened beach-resort by the river Rhein, will bring to their clients the sound of the Mediterranean during two magical nights, to say Goodbye to the summer.

Pensator Project:
One week ago almadrava finished the production of the “pensator project”, a new musical show for the company Haute Voltige. Already times before Patricia and Pedro have been working for this enterprise, creating the first musical of the air “Dreamings”.

About this production, the band comments us: “These works help us to explore other musical styles, beeing really different from chillout. We had really much fun producing the “Pensator Project” , but now we’re really looking forward to leave the industrial rock beside and go back to making chillout music, what is the style that we feel more identified with.”

After this break, almadrava will go back to work on what will be their third album.

New edition of “Northern Winds”
Many of you were asking for how to get a copy of “Northern Winds”, being sold out.
We’re really happy to inform you that Blanco y Negro did re-edit the first album of almadrava, which you already can find at their web and soon in your usual shops.

We can also announce that finally you can find almadrava in the catalogue of iTunes. Now you can buy online and download immediately “All you left us” and “Northern winds” as well, in the iTunes-store.

The next concert of almadrava will take place in Figueres, acting under the celebration of Santa Cruz, the upcoming 6 of May at 10 o’clock at night at the “Plaza Teatre Jardi”. Hope to see you there!

Next concert in Torroella de Montgrí.
Waiting for the summer to come, where almadrava have planned to go on a “minitour”, the band is preparing their next concert at “La sala”, a beautiful location at Torroella de Montgri (Girona) the upcoming 24th of March.

We’re trying to update some of our contents. Some of you were writing us that you have preoblems downloading the videoclips. Thay are quite big files and they take a lot of time to download... Patience is needed ;o)
Now in the section of “pictures” you’ll be able to find some fotos of the last concert at the theater “Platea” in Girona.

Furthermore we were opening a new page of almadrava at Myspace. There you’ll be able to find demos of songs, information and fotos.

About the flu, concerts, birthdays and others...
Well, lets start talking about the upcoming concert at the theaterstage “Platea” in Girona the 10th of February. It’s being an event, organized by the radiostation Cadena 100, offering free entrance.

The last 2nd of february Pedro was celebrating his birthday in between blankets and medicin. We hope he’ll recover really soon... from the flu, about aging there’s not much to do! Congratulations!!!

The third album is getting more and more defined. Patricia and Pedro are really happy with their new songs. Most of the recordings of the new album (starting in april) again will be done at “The Jump Studios” and “Music Lan”.

The exceptions, two songs that are already recorded: a new version of a classic hit that the band is already playing at their concerts and “Angel del mediterráneo”, a new song including guitars and voices of Antonio Cortés (Barullo) who already collaborated on “If you could see my eyes” and “Are we alone?”.

New chillout compilations.
Summertime brings us a series of new chillout compilations, where you can find songs of the second album of Almadrava, "all you left us". Some of them are: Pioneer Summer Lounge, including the hit "The way". The selected Beachland (Made in Ibiza) opens the session with "Black label", and finally the series Samsung Chillout Sessions comes out with a third Volume, including Almadrava's "Silent hotel" and "Sorrow (Hamlin Mix)".

Next concert: Canary Islands.
New "live-performance" of Almadrava, this time in the location of Vecindario, Gran Canaria.
On friday, 29. of July, Patricia (Piano & voice) and Pedro (bases) will perform at a beautiful chillout-festivity, being accompanied as usual by Jordi Carles (Guitars), Jose Luis Vadillo (Bass) and Joan Berenguer (Keyboards).

Almadrava at Café del Mar.
The upcomming 21. of may, under the celebration of the first anniversary of Café del Mar Empuriabrava, Almadrava will play "unplugged". Patricia and her piano. After the succesful performance at Al Ain, Almadrava repeats format. Mentioning Al Ain, we added some pictures to the gallery of the performance in the UAE and some of the filming of the videoclip of "The way" as well.

"All you left us"
Finally, the new almadrava album will come out in January. On this new work, you'll be able to find 12 tracks, two of them in spanish. First single will be "The way". A song full of positive energy. The new album already has a name: "All you left us".
"All you left us" looks like is going to be the name of the second almadrava album. Patricia and Pedro did explain us: "We live in a touristic area, that changes completely from summer to winter. It is not as much a "weather" fact, than a social and cultural one. People from around the world visit us, and each one leaves something. If the influence on the first album was the place, in this one as well, but related to its people and all they left us"

Last 1st,2nd and 3rd of November has been released in Motegi (Japan) the first musical of the air: "Dreamings". With the assistance of aprox. 55.000 espectators, the show was a big succes. 10 airplanes, with the best aerobatic pilots of the world, 3 Helicopters, a formation team of paramotors, and a formation team of 6 ultralights were representing the different characters of this musical, written by Almadrava.

"Dreaming": The air musical.

Almadrava is finishing all details of the musical "Dreaming", to be released next 1, 2 and 3 of November, in the circuit of Motegi (Japan). This musical is produced in its entirety for the company "Haute Voltige - Air musicals". "Dreaming" is a unique spectacle, combining music and aerobatics, a show in wich the best pilots of the world transform themselves into actors of an history, the sky being their stage.

Now you can find the single "If you could see my eyes" in the compilation "ChillOut Sessions" from Blanco y Negro Music (Spain).
This compilation includes the hits from Moby, Everything but the girl, Modjo, Massive Attack, Morcheeba, Faithless, Groove Armada… and many more.
